Police equipment supports a sequence: learn what is happening, control the scene, restrain when justified by the game state, and complete transport or imprisonment. Selecting a tool because it is available is not the same as selecting the tool required by the incident.
Equipment role index
Prepare at the station
Join the police team, select a current branch, and inspect the equipment area. Read each item name and choose a basic set that matches patrol. Job experience or other conditions may unlock specialized tools. Trust the live screen instead of an older unlock level.
Update V3.16 introduced a new police station, so equipment-room routes in pre-update videos may no longer match.
Use information first
Incident
Read the call
Identify location, type, status, and nearby units before choosing a response.
Contact
Observe the live state
Distinguish a roleplay scene, traffic issue, wanted suspect, and active threat.
Closeout
Finish the objective
Restraint alone may not complete the job; follow transport and waypoint prompts.
Handcuffs and detention
The maintained police reference identifies handcuffs and a prison waypoint in the arrest flow. Approach within the supported range, use restraints only when the game permits, confirm the suspect state, and then complete transport through current prompts. If credit fails, verify seat, vehicle, marker, and call ownership.
Scene-control tools
Use barriers, road tools, or other supported equipment where they create a safer and clearer scene. Leave routes for fire, HARS, and ordinary traffic when possible. Do not cover spawn points or use equipment solely to trap unrelated players.
Unknown numeric fields
Leave range, duration, damage, deployment limit, or probability unknown unless the current game exposes them or a reproducible test supports them. A player guide is still useful when it explains purpose, source, access, and decision context.
The Police job guide covers the full response loop. The maintained Police reference supports the job context; live station and incident interfaces decide the current equipment list and behavior.
Build a patrol loadout
Start with information access, the normal restraint tool, and only the scene-control or defensive equipment appropriate to the branch. Confirm that a compatible police vehicle can complete transport. A compact understood loadout is more useful than switching through every available item during contact.
Before leaving the station, test inventory selection and identify how to put an item away. This prevents accidental use while driving or speaking with another player.
Equipment failure checklist
If a restraint does not register, verify the suspect’s current game state, distance, target ownership, and whether the item is equipped. If scene equipment will not place, check surface, area, branch permission, and current limit. If an information tool is blank, confirm an active incident exists and allow the server to update.
Stop after a clean recheck. Repeated tool use against an invalid player or target is not troubleshooting and can disrupt the server.
Record changes safely
For each item, keep the live name, branch, source, purpose, target, observed result, and date. Record arrest completion separately from initial restraint. Leave duration, range, damage, deployment count, and unlock requirement unknown unless verified. After an update, recheck the equipment room and one normal incident before revising a guide field.
Return to the station after the test and confirm whether equipment persists, resets, or belongs only to the active shift. Do not describe temporary job access as permanent account ownership.
