Truck Driver turns route planning and careful vehicle control into a repeatable job. The maintained reference distinguishes normal, urgent, and fragile deliveries and notes that longer routes can affect rewards. Treat those as task categories, not permanent payout promises; the current contract screen decides today’s conditions.
Choose a delivery you can finish
Start the shift at the Truck Driver headquarters or current job point. Read the contract type, destination, trailer, and any urgency or fragility condition before accepting. For a first run, choose a normal delivery so you can learn attachment and turning without extra pressure.
Longer or more demanding routes may offer different rewards, but a failed or damaged run can erase the advantage. Select based on your current driving skill and available time.
Understand contract types
Attach the trailer
Spawn or locate the assigned truck and trailer. Approach the coupling in a straight line at low speed. Use a camera angle that shows alignment, reverse gradually, and wait for the game to confirm the connection. Test with a gentle forward movement before entering traffic.
If attachment fails, pull forward and realign rather than forcing the truck sideways. Confirm that the trailer belongs to your current contract and that another player’s vehicle is not obstructing the point.
Plan the route for a long vehicle
Look at the destination before leaving the yard. Favor roads with manageable turns and enough width. Enter turns from a position that gives the trailer room, watch the inside corner, and avoid sudden steering corrections.
Departure
Clear the yard slowly
Most early damage comes from rushing around parked trailers and tight exits.
Transit
Brake before the turn
A stable truck and trailer recover time better than a collision, jackknife, or missed junction.
Arrival
Read the delivery marker
Approach in the direction that leaves space to position the trailer and wait for confirmation.
Finish and verify the reward
Enter the current destination marker with the required truck and trailer state. Some objectives may require precise alignment or a final interaction. Do not detach until instructed. Wait for the completion message, then check money and job experience.
For income comparison, record the whole cycle: contract selection, attachment, travel, unloading, and return or next assignment. The money guide explains why headline payouts alone do not establish the best route.
Recover from mistakes
If you miss a turn, use a wide junction or block rather than reversing through busy traffic. If the trailer begins to fold sharply, stop, straighten the tractor gradually, and create space. If stuck, try normal vehicle controls and only use a game-provided recovery after protecting the contract as much as possible.
Public-road conduct
Leave extra braking distance, avoid blocking emergency scenes, and do not use the trailer to push other players. At a crowded depot, wait for a clear attachment lane. Predictable driving is both better roleplay and a more reliable earning strategy.
The maintained Truck Driver reference supports the contract types and delivery structure summarized here. Check current routes, vehicles, unlocks, and rewards in the live contract panel.
Delivery record
Record contract type, route, truck and trailer, attachment time, cargo condition shown by the game, missed turns, completion time, actual reward category, and date. Compare normal, urgent, or fragile work only after several clean runs.
Depot and destination etiquette
Keep attachment lanes clear, wait for another truck to finish positioning, and move completed vehicles away from the marker. At the destination, approach slowly enough to correct alignment without blocking the road. Confirm completion before detaching or accepting the next contract.
If the trailer disconnects, stop safely, inspect current recovery prompts, and reattach through normal mechanics. Record the failure rather than resetting to hide it from the route result.
