Jobs give Emergency Hamburg its most structured play loops. The maintained game reference identifies seven broad teams: Police, Fire Department, HARS roadside assistance, Bus Driver, Truck Driver, Citizen, and Criminal. Some are formal shifts with headquarters, assigned vehicles, objectives, money, and job experience; others support open-world or criminal play. Always read the current team screen because availability and unlocks can change.

Citizen and Criminal
Citizen supports civilian travel and roleplay. Criminal play connects to robberies, wanted status, special contacts, and police response.

Travel to the relevant headquarters and use the current job NPC, team control, or prompt. Select the role or branch shown by the live game, then inspect the available vehicles and equipment before responding. A vehicle that is locked today should be treated as an unlock goal, not as a missing guide instruction.
Formal jobs award money and experience for completing their tasks. Experience can unlock additional vehicles or equipment, but exact levels and values belong to the current interface. Complete one basic objective with starter gear before deciding what progression path to chase.
Match jobs to your preferred pace
Read calls before moving
Emergency services receive incidents through the current HUD, radio, phone, or task panel. Read the type, map marker, and any tool clue before spawning a vehicle. A clean response begins with the correct apparatus and leaves an access lane for other players.
For delivery work, read the route and cargo conditions. The maintained Truck Driver reference distinguishes normal, urgent, and fragile deliveries; the live prompt decides what applies to the current assignment. For bus work, city and rural routes create different driving demands.
Progress without wasting money
Use job-supplied vehicles and gear to learn the role. Save personal cash for a clear civilian or roleplay goal. If you are comparing jobs for income, time full cycles and include travel, failed calls, vehicle recovery, and waiting. The money guide gives a repeatable comparison method.
Job experience and money are separate reasons to stay with a role. A player may choose a slower route because it unlocks a desired emergency vehicle, or choose a familiar basic loop because it is consistent. Neither decision needs an unsupported “best job” ranking.
Scene etiquette
Park so that the incident remains accessible. Use the tool that matches the objective. Communicate briefly, and avoid taking over a task another player is completing unless help is needed. Police should distinguish observation, pursuit, restraint, transport, and imprisonment; fire crews should distinguish fire, rescue, spill, and obstruction tools; HARS should distinguish towing, repair, fuel, and infrastructure calls.
When a job appears stuck, re-read the objective, move to the exact marker, verify the tool or vehicle, and allow the server a moment to register completion. Rejoin once if necessary. Check Updates if a recent release changed a station, vehicle, tutorial, or task.
Job reference and verification
The maintained Emergency Hamburg jobs page provides the overall team structure. Individual pages for Police, Fire Department, Bus Driver, HARS, and Truck Driver support the flows summarized here. Confirm current values in the live game.
Compare jobs with a session card
Record the role, branch, starting balance and experience, first task time, successful completion time, direct costs, failures, ending values, and how much waiting or travel occurred. Run the same job for several comparable objectives before ranking it. A role can be valuable for map knowledge, unlock progress, cooperative play, or roleplay even when its short-term cash differs.
Job troubleshooting order
Confirm the correct headquarters and shift state, then read the task, vehicle, equipment, map marker, and completion condition. If the objective stalls, revisit those fields before resetting. Test one fresh server after a clean failure and preserve the exact message. Check the update tracker when a station, tutorial, vehicle, or task type recently changed.
Avoid switching jobs in the middle of a shared incident unless the game instructs you to. Leaving can remove needed equipment or ownership and make another player’s objective harder to finish.
